coastline. This place invites you to be part of the
daily life in a Hacienda in Guanacaste that since 1991
implements sustainable tourism integrating the economic activity of services
and recreation, with the purpose of conserving the natural and cultural
values. Only 1 hour away from the Liberia Airport
and 1 hour and 30 minutes from the Pacific beaches; you can enjoy the nature
and beauties that surround the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano. It is a world full of adventure and
adrenaline complemented with the tranquility of the thermal waters, saunas
and baths of volcanic mud in a primary forest located on the slopes of the
volcano. Spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed with a magnificent view of the
Pacific Ocean, volcanoes, plains and, forests. Buena Vista is a cattle raising Hacienda
that changed part of its activity to dedicate itself to ecologic tourism in a
rustic environment conserving the idiosyncrasy and culture of the zone. It is located 31 km from Liberia and it
borders with the National Park Rincón de la Vieja. It has an area of approximately 2,000 acres, 1,400
of which are intended to regenerate the forest and were adventure activities
take place, always protecting the environment. The remaining 600 acres are
dedicated to cattle raising and the ranch produces the majority of the
products that the Lodge consumes. Map

ACTIVITIES Adventure Activities available at the Buena Vista Lodge: • Horse back riding: visit the three waterfalls:
the first one has sulfur pit inside the waterfall, the second one is a
natural waterslide inside the mountain that falls into small pond, and the
last waterfall is the biggest one with a spectacular cascade • Trails: these are for all ages and they go
through waterfalls, view points, plains, and primary forest and lots more • Canopy: great adventure over the top of the
trees • Thermal waters: sauna, 5 thermal pools,
volcanic, mud, and cafeteria. The visitors can get to the thermal waters
walking, horse back riding, in jeep, carriage, or in car • Hanging bridges • Bird watching • Water slide of 420 meters long inside the
